Overview

The Crypto & Tax Lots module provides complete digital asset accounting compliant with FASB ASU 2023-08 (the new fair value standard for crypto assets). Available on the Pro plan or as a standalone add-on ($14/mo).

Tax Lots Tab

Record individual lot acquisitions (asset type: BTC, ETH, Other; quantity, cost basis per unit, acquisition date). View all lots filtered by status: held, disposed, or all. Each lot shows current value, unrealized gain/loss, and holding period.

Mark-to-Market Tab

Revalue held lots at current fair market value per FASB ASU 2023-08. Enter the current market price, select lots to revalue, and the system creates journal entries for unrealized gains/losses. Both upward and downward revaluations are recognized in the income statement.

Dispose Tab

Record disposals using FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Enter the asset, quantity disposed, and proceeds. The system automatically selects the oldest lots, calculates realized gain/loss, and creates journal entries. Partial lot disposals are supported.

Treasury Wallets Tab

Register Bitcoin wallet addresses for on-chain verification. Add a wallet with its public address and label. Click "Verify" to check the on-chain balance via blockchain API and compare to your ledger balance.

Proof of Reserves (Attestations Tab)

Create formal attestation records that compare your on-chain Bitcoin holdings to your ledger records. Each attestation shows: on-chain total, ledger total, difference, and reconciliation status (matched/unmatched). Useful for audits and compliance.

FASB Disclosure Tab

Generates a FASB ASU 2023-08 compliant disclosure report. Shows digital asset holdings by asset type, with lot-level detail including acquisition date, cost basis, fair value, and unrealized gain/loss. Ready for financial statement footnotes.
