Mining Operations Pro Plan
Track mining revenue, electricity costs, and hardware depreciation
Overview
The Mining Operations module tracks Bitcoin mining activities including revenue, operating costs, and asset depreciation. Available on the Pro plan or as a standalone add-on ($14/mo).
Dashboard Tab
Overview of your mining operation showing: total BTC across all wallets, current USD value, total hash rate, total power draw, current BTC price, and recent mining transactions.
Wallets Tab
Manage mining wallets. Add wallets with: Bitcoin address, label/name, and type (hot, cold, or pool). Remove wallets when no longer needed.
Transactions Tab
Record Bitcoin mining transactions. Each transaction has: wallet, type (mining revenue or transfer), BTC amount, BTC price at time of transaction (for cost basis), and optional transaction hash for blockchain verification.
Electricity Tab
Track mining electricity costs. Set electricity rates ($/kWh with effective date -- supports rate changes over time). Record electricity usage (kWh consumed, start/end date). The system auto-calculates cost based on the effective rate.
Hardware Tab
Register mining hardware with: name, model, hash rate (TH/s), power consumption (watts), purchase price, salvage value, useful life (months), and purchase date. Deactivate hardware when retired.
Depreciation Tab
Automatic straight-line depreciation schedule for all active mining hardware. Shows: purchase price, salvage value, useful life, monthly depreciation amount, annual depreciation, accumulated depreciation, and net book value. Used for tax reporting.
Mining revenue transactions should be recorded at the BTC price on the date of receipt. This establishes the cost basis for tax purposes.
