Get up and running with Vibe Ledger in under 10 minutes

  1. Create Your Account Go to app.vibe-ledger.com, click Register, and choose a username and password. You'll be prompted to select a plan (Starter $19/mo or Pro $49/mo) and complete payment via Stripe.
  2. Complete Onboarding After payment, the onboarding wizard helps set up your chart of accounts. Select your business type, banking setup, income sources, and expense categories. The system auto-creates accounts based on your answers. You can skip this and set up manually later.
  3. Connect Your Bank Navigate to Bank Connect from the sidebar. Click "Connect Institution" to launch Plaid Link. Sign into your bank. Once connected, map each bank account to a ledger account (e.g., Checking -> Cash, Credit Card -> a liability account). Then click "Sync Transactions" to pull in your history.
  4. Review Categorized Transactions The system auto-categorizes imported transactions using: Go to the Review Queue to approve or dismiss flagged transactions.
  5. Set Up Category Rules Go to Category Rules to create rules that auto-categorize future transactions. Match on merchant name, description, or Plaid category. For example: merchant "Safeway" -> Groceries, description contains "Shell" -> Transportation.
  6. Check Your Reports Go to Reports to view your Income Statement and Balance Sheet. Click any line item to drill down into individual transactions. Use date range presets (YTD, tax year, all time) or set a custom range.
